Stepping Stone, we believe in families

Stapsteen, founded in 2014, is a Brussels-based welfare organization and drop-in center, run by motivated professionals and volunteers, committed to supporting vulnerable families.

Inspired by a Christian philosophy of life, Stapsteen works towards a relational society in which solidarity is central.

We offer guidance and support to children and families in vulnerable situations, with the aim of strengthening their strengths, promoting their well-being, and increasing their chances of a full and meaningful role in society. We work closely with the neighborhood in all its facets. Together, we build a strong, supportive community with deep roots.

At the heart of Stapsteen are families, of many shapes and backgrounds, each unique and connected.
