"What is important to me during play weeks I can say in one word. That word is giving."

When you know you're in the right place.

Hey

I am Lois, 17 years old and I am starting my studies in social work this year.
I owe the choice of that field of study to stepping stone.
In the summer of 2020, I joined a playweek for the first time and haven't missed one since.
Play weeks are the place for me to be myself, creatively and with a heart for people.

"That all children feel loved here, valuable and important enough to be themselves in peace is the most important thing to me..."

To briefly summarize what is important to me during play weeks I can say in one word. That word is giving. Giving as much as possible, as much time as possible, as much love as possible, as much attention as possible, positive words, peace and patience. Things I am sure not all children get enough of. If in one week I can give a little more than they are used to or a little more of what they so desperately need I have achieved what I want to achieve. That all the children here feel loved, valuable and important enough to be at peace being themselves is most important to me.

Here I really feel that I can mean something and can see what I mean.
